Chris Leyerle has founded and led startup companies for the past 15,years, most recently as co-founder of Hydrovolts, a maker of small hydropower turbines. He has built management teams and directed materials scientists and software, mechanical and electrical engineers in successful technical development efforts, as well as provided general management across all business functions in sectors ranging from software to hardware, retail to e-commerce, and cleantech. Chris has raised investor money and secured grant funding, launched new products and increased revenues for new and existing products. He has generated two patents and overseen teams that have produced 8 others. Along with Jeff Canin and Bryan Zetlen, he has been actively focused on development, funding and commercialization of energy-related technologies in industry groups including the Cleantech Open and Seattle’s Zino Society. Chris will be focused on energy technology, bioenergy and biomass conversion work in his capacity as a WSURF EIR.
